Privacy Policy

Lets is an app for making spur-of-the-moment plans with your friends, operated by Proxigo LLC. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and what control you have over it. The short version: your plans are visible only to the friends you send them to, they expire on their own, and you can delete everything at any time.

Information we collect

• Account details. When you sign up we collect the credentials you sign in with — an email address, a Google account, or a phone number — plus the profile you create: your display name, bio, and avatar emoji. If you sign in with Google we receive only your basic profile (name and email address), never your contacts.
• Your phone number (optional). You can add and verify a phone number so that friends who already have it saved in their contacts can find you on Lets. We text you a one-time code to confirm the number is yours, and that is the only message we ever send to it. Your number is never shown on your profile, never revealed to other users, and never sold or shared for advertising — it is used only to match you with people who already know it. Adding a number is optional; you can skip it when you sign up and add it later from your profile.
• Your friends. Friend connections, friend requests, and any users you block or report.
• Contacts (only if you allow it). If you grant the contacts permission, the app reads your device's contacts on your phone to show you a list to pick from and to check which of the people you pick are already on Lets. That check looks up one exact phone number or email address at a time; we never receive your address book, and contact names and numbers are never uploaded or stored on our servers. If you choose to invite someone, that opens your own messaging app with a message you can edit or cancel — we don't send it for you. You can skip this entirely and add friends by hand instead.
• Your plans and messages. The feelers (invitations) you create — activity, title, time, and meeting place — and the messages and responses exchanged around them.
• Location. If you attach a place to a feeler, we store its coordinates. Friends who can see the feeler see only an approximate area on the map; the exact meeting spot is shared only with people you've confirmed. If you grant the app location permission, your device location is used on your phone to show distances and centre the map — it is not stored on our servers.
• Device and usage data. A push-notification token for your device, and anonymised analytics and crash reports (via Google Firebase) that help us understand which features are used and fix bugs. These do not include the content of your plans or messages.

How we use it

We use this information for one purpose: making the app work — showing your feelers to the friends you chose, delivering messages and notifications, drawing the map, and keeping the service reliable. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

Who can see what

• Feelers are visible only to the friends you send them to. If you turn on “extend to friends of friends” for a feeler, your friends' friends can also see it — that option is off by default and set per feeler.
• The exact meeting place is visible only to confirmed participants.
• Your profile (name, bio, emoji) is visible to your friends and to people you exchange friend requests with.
• If you share an invite link outside the app, anyone with the link sees a limited preview of that feeler.

Service providers

Lets runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud functions, push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting) and uses Google Maps and Places for maps and location search. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments; see Google's privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Feelers are ephemeral by design: they expire at the time you set and are then permanently purged from our servers, along with their messages and responses. Account data (profile, friends) is kept until you delete your account.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from Settings → Delete account in the app, or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it removes your profile, sign-in, friends, feelers, messages, notification tokens, and share links.

Age requirement

Lets is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 is using Lets, contact us and we'll delete the account.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change means the updated policy applies.
